Bed and Breakfast Suite

This lovely self contained suite is separated from the house by a covered way, providing privacy, seclusion, peace and quiet. Its location upstairs provides for great views over the garden and down to the coast. The downstairs bathroom boasts a great temperature controlled shower and plenty of big and fluffy towels.

The Rooms

Two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other twin king singles, are very comfortable with wool-rest under-lays and electric blankets. Duvets are cotton in summer, wool in winter. Both rooms have TV and DVD. Wireless broadband is accessible from your rooms, and a laptop is also available to check your emails. A heater is provided and flyscreens keep out unwanted nightlife.

Get the best of both worlds! Join us in the house for a delicious home-made breakfast, featuring garden-fresh, seasonal fruits, avocados and our delightfully different preserves. You'll find fresh fruit, home-made biscuits and a variety of teas and coffee in your rooms. Other meals can be provided, but must be pre-arranged. You can use the washing machine, barbecue and all the garden and outdoor areas. Sit on the deck and take in the views flowing out to the garden and farmland. Listen to tuis, bellbirds and other varied birdlife.

Set on its own site beside the Mimiha stream, Mimiha Cottage is 150 metres from the house, a short walk through the garden. Native plants feature along the stream and the sound of water lends a tranquil air. The cottage is fully equipped and suitable for wheelchair access throughout.
The main bedroom with queen sized bed has direct access to the bathroom. Full sized bunks furnish the second bedroom. A sofa bed in the lounge provides bedding for two more. The whole house is attractively furnished and very comfortable
